Austin Wallace is an International Affairs Officer at the World Federation for Animals, where he focuses on advancing animal welfare through meaningful international cooperation. His academic background, with a Master’s in European History, Politics, and Society from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s in International Relations from Drew University, has provided him with a solid foundation in policy and global governance. Throughout his work with organisations like the United Nations and the International Monetary Fund, Austin has developed a strong commitment to integrating animal welfare into global development frameworks.
At WFA, Austin applies his experiences in decolonisation, conflict resolution, and sustainability to advocate for the protection and well-being of animals around the world. By building partnerships with governments, NGOs, and international institutions, he aims to contribute to lasting, systemic changes that elevate the importance of animal welfare on the global stage.
