Dr. Masika Sophie is the Global Health Policy Manager at the WFA. As a Veterinarian, Epidemiologist, and Economist, her professional achievements have placed her at the forefront of multidisciplinary collaborations and policy solutions.

With a strong focus in demonstrating the value of One Health in system strengthening, she has an excellent track record in global health issues including Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), the triple planetary crises-health nexus, and pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response.

Masika’s experience spans a decade of engaging with NGOs, intergovernmental organisations, member states, and UN agencies. She excels in fostering strategic partnerships, identifying interdependencies, and harnessing synergies among diverse partners to shape transformative policies. She is deeply committed to leveraging her expertise to drive meaningful change, and contribute to improving animal health, global health and health outcomes in Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs).
