Silvia Mantilla

As WFA's Global Policy & Communications Manager, Silvia oversees the implementation of the Federation's communication strategy while supporting global advocacy efforts and policy engagement. She plays a key role in helping the organisation with agenda-setting efforts and influencing policymakers' mindsets. As the WFA’s focal point for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Silvia also coordinates and supports the operations of the UNFCCC working group.

With over 12 years’ worth of experience leading strategic communications and partnership development efforts for various United Nations agencies and programmes, Silvia has delivered successful communication campaigns on peace and development issues across three continents.

A political scientist by education, Silvia graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia before pursuing her postgraduate studies at the Università Iuav di Venezia in Italy.
