A global movement for animals needs you
Animals sit at the heart of the world’s most pressing global challenges: climate change, food insecurity, biodiversity loss, pandemics, and beyond. WFA works to ensure they are no longer absent from those conversations. We bring together organisations across all continents, united by a single belief: that lasting change for animals requires all of us.
Why animals need us now more than ever
The global challenges facing animals are accelerating. They are being discussed in the highest levels of decision-making by people who rarely hear from the animal protection movement.
That is exactly why, in 2020, 17 leading animal welfare organisations came together to found WFA, the only global federation for animal advocacy.
Today, we are over 70 members spanning every region, every species, and every area of animal protection. The moment to act collectively has never been more urgent.
Our member organisations (●) are at the heart of the WFA movement, representing the diverse interests and perspectives that shape our approach on a global scale. Our regional networks (●) reflect the full breadth of the movement, ensuring that our voice in international fora is truly representative. Together with our Secretariat’s presence at the world’s key UN hubs (Rome, New York, Nairobi), we are committed to achieving global impact for animals.
