Noelia Iglesias

As Communications Officer, Noelia supports WFA’s strategic content and messaging, social media presence and storytelling across platforms, helping to connect global audiences with the Federation’s mission and impact. She works closely with colleagues across teams to amplify advocacy efforts and foster greater visibility for animal welfare within international policymaking.

Noelia brings over a decade of experience in communications and marketing, with a focus on purpose-driven organisations and projects that seek to drive positive social and environmental change. She thrives in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments, and believes in the power of clear, empathetic communication to bridge differences and build momentum for collective action.

She studied communication and marketing at several institutions, including Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, and the Istituto Europeo di Design. She also holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in World Studies from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).

Originally from the vibrant city of Barcelona, Noelia is now based in Lisbon, Portugal. She is the proud mum of her rescued dog, Ruliña.
