The World Federation for Animals is pleased to welcome three new member organisations, expanding our global network. These diverse organisations bring legal, policy and regional expertise from three different continents. Learn more about them below:

1. International Coalition for Animal Protection (Full Member)

The International Coalition for Animal Protection (ICFAP) operates on the One Health principle, recognising the interconnected nature of animal welfare, human health, and environmental protection. Their flagship initiative is the development of the Convention on Animal Protection, a proposed international treaty to establish minimum standards for animal care and treatment. Animal Legal Protection Network is India’s first think-tank focused on farmed animal research. As an independent, not-for-profit organization, they conduct multidisciplinary research to bridge gaps between civil society and national issues including public health, food safety, and environmental protection. Their work encompasses interdisciplinary research, legal and policy development assistance, and stakeholder engagement to promote effective dialogue and change. Learn about their approach at https://www.alpn.in

3. Alliance for Human Animal Coexistence (Associate Member)

This organisation takes a holistic approach to animal protection and environmental conservation, viewing these challenges as fundamentally social issues. They implement projects and provide grants using a framework that recognises the interconnection between animals, humans, and ecological systems. Their unique approach combines universal animal welfare aspirations with culturally specific, place-based solutions, promoting eco-literate and culturally nuanced change.
